When you buy a Nissan, you know you’re getting a vehicle of the utmost quality. How can you be sure? J.D. Power included three Nissan models in the results of its 2020 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study: the Nissan Maxima, Murano and Armada.
J.D. Power evaluators reached this decision through a data-driven, objective method: calculating the number of issues that owners experienced during their first 90 days of ownership. That means the Maxima, Murano and Armada ranked highly in the study for having fewer reported problems than other models in their classes.
The Maxima was the top-ranking large car for the third year in a row. The Murano was the highest-rated midsize SUV, and the Armada topped the large SUV segment. Because of these results, J.D. Power included the Nissan brand within the top five mass-market brands. These honors are just a handful of the many that Nissan has earned in recent years, proving that the brand continues to evolve its engineering to greater levels of craftsmanship.
“Initial quality is one important metric for our manufacturing team’s performance, and the pursuit of excellence across the Nissan lineup never stops,” said Steve Marsh, senior vice president, manufacturing, supply chain management and purchasing, Nissan North America, Inc.
