We have been waiting for the third generation of the Nissan Frontier for a long time. The midsize pickup truck was last redesigned for the 2005 model year, and now it’s due for another overhaul. For 2022 we are getting a new Frontier, and we at Paul Miller Nissan are incredibly excited for this new model.
Here are some of the key differences you can expect between the prior 2021 Frontier and the 2022 Nissan Frontier.
The redesigned Frontier truck gains the Zero Gravity seats that many other Nissan models already use. These NASA-inspired seats offer exceptional comfort for long road trips through New England, rugged off-road adventures in Connecticut, and your daily errands here in Fairfield.
Also improved is the quietness of the cabin. Engineers packed plenty of sound-deadening material throughout the Frontier, improved the door seals, used more laminated glass, and added quieter tires. Now, you can easily hold a conversation and enjoy your music with very little unwanted road, environment, or engine noise.
Other changes to the 2022 Frontier pertain to its technology. The base trim of the new Frontier still comes with an 8-inch touch screen (bigger than the 7-inch one it had previously). However, it is an improved screen that also includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ functionality in its operating system. There is also an available 9-inch screen that is the largest in its class.
All Frontier models are available with Nissan Safety Shield® 360. This suite includes features like automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, and lane departure warning. None of these features were available on the 2021 Frontier, so they’re a great addition for families in Fairfield.
2022 might be the best model year of the Frontier truck yet, and you’ll be able to find it here at Paul Miller Nissan later this year.
