Innovative New VT-Turbo Engine Available on 2022 Nissan Rogue | Fairfield, CT

Driving should be fun, whether you are heading out of town or running errands. To help you recapture the excitement of driving, Nissan is boosting the performance of the 2022 Nissan Rogue with a new VT-Turbo Engine. The all-new 1.5-liter variable compression Turbo engine increases power, fuel-efficiency, and enjoyment compared to the 2021 model.

This motor adds an 11 percent increase in horsepower and a 24 percent increase in torque on the 2022 Rogue compared to last year. The new VC Turbo engine generates 201 peak horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it achieves an estimated fuel-economy rating of 33 mpg combined city/highway compared to the 30 combined mpg rating of the 2021 Rogue’s old engine.[1][2]

The new VC-Turbo engine is being manufactured in the U.S. at the automaker’s powertrain facility in Decherd, Tennessee.

“As the Nissan NEXT transformation continues, the 2022 Nissan Rogue’s all-new powertrain is a proof point of the company’s commitment to investing in its lineup and improving the company’s product, brand and sales power in the U.S.,” said Mike Colleran, senior vice president, Nissan U.S. Marketing and Sales, in a press release.

The Nissan Rogue is currently the automaker’s best-selling model, so we’re confident that drivers in Fairfield, Connecticut, will appreciate this improvement. For 2022, Nissan not only focused on enhancing its powertrain, but also its enviable catalogue of advanced safety technologies. According to the automaker, the 2022 Rogue rules its class with the most standard safety tech.[3]
